This is a custom mad bed with a 10", 12" at the foot, and a 24" wide deck on the left side!
The 24" deck has a table on it. I installed it in a Manhattan loft, thus the name. It needs a nicer mattress cover! Click

Manhatten loft platform bed 1 |
The massive masculine nature of the Manhatten Loft bed is emphasized by its asymmetrical placement of the sunken
mattress. The right side deck is 24" wide, enough for a floating side table. Lights under the bed add to its character.

THAI NOK BED |
Hi Gus--
Here are pictures of our bed. We LOVE it! The bed is nicely made and very strong.
Thanks for making our dream comes true.
Nok
Thanks Nok, I named this bed after you, (Nok means little bird in Thai).
I designed the NOK bed to be low, about 8" to the deck around the mattress,
and have the mattress stick up only about 2" above that.
So a 10" thick mattress can lay right on the floor. If you use a thinner mattress
I can raise it up with slats. The headboard is 17" high from the deck and 1 3/4" thick. The deck has a 3"
thick edge and is 5" wide. It is made with solid Walnut, Birch or Cherry and comes with a natural oil finish,
or it can be stained. With no visible supports, the bed looks like it is floating. Lights can be installed under the
decking for a cool effect. A LED light kit is $100. A queen size is 70" wide and 82" long, King is 84" x 82". |
