This is a custom mad bed with a 10", 12" at the foot,  and a 24" wide deck on the left side!
The 24" deck has a table on it. I installed it in a Manhattan loft, thus the name. It needs a nicer mattress cover! Click for another view.

The massive masculine nature of the Manhatten Loft  bed is emphasized by its asymmetrical placement of the sunken mattress. The right side deck is 24" wide, enough for a floating side table. Lights under the bed add to its character.

THAI NOK BED Edit Text

Hi Gus--

Here are pictures of our bed. We LOVE it! The bed is nicely made and very strong.

Thanks for making our dream comes true.

Nok

Thanks Nok, I named this bed after you, (Nok means little bird in Thai).

I designed the NOK   bed to be low, about 8" to the deck around the mattress, and have the mattress stick up only about 2" above that.

So  a 10" thick mattress can lay right on the floor. If you use a thinner mattress I can raise it up with slats. The  headboard is 17" high from the deck and 1 3/4" thick. The deck has a  3" thick edge and  is 5" wide. It is made with solid Walnut, Birch  or Cherry and comes with a natural oil finish, or it can be stained. With no visible supports, the bed looks like it is floating.  Lights can be installed under the decking for a cool effect.  A LED light kit is $100. A queen size is 70" wide and 82" long, King is 84" x 82".
